  1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) job -2 posts

Title of the project: Establishment of science, technology, and innovation hub in NITI Silchar, cacher, Assam, for the socio-economic upliftment of SC/ ST population in Assam.

Funding Agency: Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Project sanction number: DST/ SEED/ SCSP/ STI /2020/309 (G)

Duration: Initially for 01-year extendable till 03 years.

Principal investigator: Dr. Bipalb Das

Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Number of vacancies: 2 posts

Upper age limit: 32 years (as on closing date of application0

Monthly salary: Rs 31,000/- per month

Note: Candidate will be eligible for h.R.A. as per the project /institute norms (if accommodation is not provided by the institute)

Educational qualifications: post-1: M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Mechanical engineering from a recognized university with a GATE score.

post-2: M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Mechanical engineering from a recognized university with a GATE score.

Desirable qualifications:  Post 1: masters degree in any specialization of mechanical engineering along with prior experience in either of the following areas.: Energy storage; condition monitoring; Material processing; solar thermal system. Candidates with prior experience will be given preference.

Post 2: masters degree in any specialization of electrical engineering along with prior experience in either of the following areas.: Energy storage; condition monitoring; Material processing; solar thermal system. Candidates with prior experience will be given preference.

Relaxation of qualification and age: SC/ ST/ WOMEN/ PWD candidates will get relaxation as per government of India rules and regulations. Preference will be given to the candidates who belong to SC/ ST.

Reporting: applicants are requested to submit the signed scanned copy of their filled-up application form along with C.V and all other relevant documents to the P.I. through email with the subject line” Application for the post of JRF under DST Project DST/ SEED/ SCSP/ STI /2020 /309 (G)” latest by 24th March 2022. Call letters for shortlisted candidates will sent through email.

Date of the interview, time, and venue: The details re4garding the interview process, time, and venue will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates over email.

No objection certificate; Employed candidates are to submit a no-objection certificate from his / her employer at the time of interview.

Institute right: The institute has the discreation to restrict the number of xandidates to be called for the interview on the basis of screening, no candidate may be recruited if suitable candidates are not found.

The signing of the agreement: selected candidates shall have to sign an agreement at the time of joining.
